Data Feed Setup Guide

Instructions


Elite Rebuildable Cars makes updating your inventory effortless with its automatic uploads. Have your webmaster follow the data feed instructions below to keep your inventory current at all times.

If you do not have a webmaster, we can help with that too! Just Contact Us to speak with our web design and development team.

Have your webmaster see the instruction below for data file format or Contact Us for further instructions regarding our computer technological services.


Requirements

In order to be considered for our automatic inventory sourcing, you must meet the following requirements:

  • You must have an active EliteRebuildableCars.com paid dealer account.
  • Your data file must meet the specifications below.

**Note: If at any time you fail to meet these requirements, EliteRebuildableCars.com reserves the right to deactivate your data feed.


Automatic Nightly Uploads

If you already have a database-driven website, then your entire inventory can be uploaded to EliteRebuildableCars.com automatically on a scheduled basis. Simply make your data available as a .csv file on your website and provide us with the URL. Our system will do the rest.

Setup Procedure

Once you have constructed your data file per the specifications below, the URL should be emailed to info@eliterebuildablecars.com. One of our designated tech employees will review your data and will contact you if any changes are necessary.

When the file is acceptable, a confirmation email will be sent.


Data Import Format

The data format for the data import is a CSV (“comma-separated values.”) The delimiter to separate fields is the “,” (comma symbol) The delimiter needs to be present even if the field is empty.

Each vehicle must have all of its data on one line. No html code will be allowed.

** Note: All fields do not accept special characters or foul language.

** Note: All fields with the exception of description do not accept links(URLs) or emails.

** Note: The description field cannot contain any double-quotes within the field.
